SCHOOL SAFETY INFORMATION FOR FAMILIES
2026-27 SCHOOL YEAR
Dear Hornet Families:
As we're on the eve of a new school year, the safety and wellbeing of Plattsburgh’s students and staff is our highest priority and part of our annual planning.
Each school year, our district conducts required emergency drills and provides instruction to ensure that everyone—students, staff, and families—understands what to do in the event of an emergency. Please review the attached letter which provides you details on emergency response planning for the City School District, and feel free to contact the appropriate Principal or myself with you questions.
