FOIL Requests
FOIL Requests at Plattsburgh City Schools
The Freedom of Information Law (FOIL) allows an individual to request existing public records from the agency responsible for maintaining those records. Plattsburgh City School District has a designated Records Access Officer who is responsible for accepting and responding to FOIL requests. Requests must be made via the available form below.
Plattsburgh City School District will acknowledge your request within five (5) business days. Read the complete FOIL online here.
Record Requests Via Electronic Mail: In accordance with Chapter 182 of the Laws of 2006, Plattsburgh City School District accepts requests for records submitted via electronic mail. Those records to which access is granted will be provided electronically to the extent practicable. Those documents which the District is not able to provide electronically will be provided via first class mail for the statutory charge of $.25 per page.

You have a right to appeal a denial of a request within 30 days of receipt. The applicant and the New York State Committee on Open Government will be informed of the Records Access Appeal Officer’s determination in writing within ten business days of receipt of an appeal.
