Today is a B Day!

There will be no homework club today! 

The yearbook club will meet right after school today, Wednesday, 1/18! 

Chipotle Fundraiser is today, Wednesday, from 4pm to 8pm.   

German club meets this week on Thursday after school in room B5. New members welcome! Bring a friend! 

All students need to have their laptops in school and charged for use in Homeroom on Thursday 1/19.

he MATHCOUNTS School Competition will be held after school tomorrow in room F3. The top 8 students will then go on to compete at the regional competition held in February.

Fermata Nowhere will be hosting a Spaghetti Dinner/Raffle Next Monday, January 23rd at the Stafford Middle School Cafeteria from 4-7pm following the Stafford Pride Party. Take Out and Dine In Dinners are available. Fermata Nowhere will be performing twice at the event. Purchase your tickets in advance from any Fermata Nowhere Member, Mr. Hampton or at the door. 

The first SMS Pride Party will be occurring on Monday, January 23rd! Pride Parties are rewards for students who meet the expectations target set for the month. Students who have no referrals in the area of Defiance and Disruption from December 21st to January 20th will be invited to attend.   Activities will be Open Swim, Marshmallow Fluff, Board Games, Arts & Crafts, and Face Painting.  Keep up the great work of being Safe, Respectful, and Responsible to be able to attend!

The weather forecast for Friday and Saturday features atypical, concerning cold weather.  As you know, our district features a mix of modes of student commute to school, and a robust slate of co-curricular activities which are scheduled throughout the coming days.

Given the dangerous temperatures which are predicted, school on Friday, February 3rd, 2023 is cancelled, and an emergency closure day will be used.

Typically, when such emergency closures are made, co-curricular activities are similarly-cancelled.  For the most part, this will still be the case, but certain pre-arranged co-curricular activities will be allowed to proceed, so long as additional layers of safety/student protection are applied.  These considerations have been addressed with the Advisors.  So, unless students and parents receive a different communication from the Coach/Advisor, co-curricular activities are also cancelled tomorrow evening (February 3rd), and on Saturday, February 4th.
