Just a reminder that BEEKEEPING and/or GARDENING will both start the first week in April until the end of the school year. Each activity will meet once a week, at Duken.
Students should contact slevaque@plattscsd.org and let me know which activity they are joining (they can join both) and what grade they’re in. Students will be provided with all needed materials.
There are two new learning opportunities for students that will start in April. The first learning opportunity will teach participants beekeeping. You will suit up in a beekeeper’s outfit and learn how to tend a hive with live honeybees!
The second learning opportunity will teach participants how to plan, design, and grow a garden. Participants will not only be taught how to grow a great garden filled with a variety of edible and non-edible plants, but they will also be able to share in the harvest of what is grown. If any of this sounds interesting to you then stop by the Guidance Office and pick up a flyer that explains more about each offering and tells you how to sign up.
What is Networking?- NETWORKING is turning an acquaintance into a supporter. Your network can include mentors, teachers, family, friends and people you meet through extracurricular activities. In fact, just about anyone you meet can become part of your network.
NETWORKING IS ABOUT PUTTING YOUR BEST FOOT FORWARD, MEETING NEW PEOPLE, AND GETTING THEM TO SUPPORT YOU AND YOUR GOALS. Everyone should build their network before they need it.” Dave Delaney
