Today is Wednesday, March 16th, 2022 and it is a B-Day!!!
Happy Birthday Wishes today to Braeden Calkins, Guiseppina Gallicchio, Zachary Tuller, Bailey VanArman and Amanda Vaughn!.
Also Happy Birthday wishes to Mr. Rock.
Multicultural club will be selling pizza tomorrow after school in the cafeteria for $2.00 a slice.
A reminder that there is no afternoon CVTECH on Thursday March 17th.
Therefore Afternoon CVTECH students will need make arrangements to exit the building for the remainder of the day.
Also a reminder that PHS and CVTECH both have a Superintendent Day this Friday. Therefore there will be no school for all students.
Boys and Girls Varsity Track and Field will be starting today at 3pm in the gym.
Just a reminder that BEEKEEPING and/or GARDENING will both start the first week in April until the end of the school year. Each activity will meet once a week, at Duken.
The Freshman Class will be starting the Little Caesar’s Pizza Fundraiser this week. This will be virtual as it was last year. Delicious pizzas delivered to your door. This offer ends April 9th. Students should contact slevaque@plattscsd.org and let me know which activity they are joining (they can join both) and what grade they’re in. Students will be provided with all needed materials.
There are two new learning opportunities for students that will start in April. The first learning opportunity will teach participants beekeeping. You will suit up in a beekeeper’s outfit and learn how to tend a hive with live honeybees!
The second learning opportunity will teach participants how to plan, design, and grow a garden. Participants will not only be taught how to grow a great garden filled with a variety of edible and non-edible plants, but they will also be able to share in the harvest of what is grown. If any of this sounds interesting to you then stop by the Guidance Office and pick up a flyer that explains more about each offering and tells you how to sign up.
