Reminder to all pet owners: your pet pictures for the yearbook are due TODAY by 11am! Make sure to submit them through the form on your class Team’s page.
In other yearbook news, all senior “Ads for Grads” are due to Mrs. Sullivan by next Wednesday, February 16th. See Mrs. Sullivan in room 207 if you have any questions.
Attention CFES scholars- A representative from SUNY Brockport will be conducting a Virtual Visit on Thursday, February 10th. If you are interested in attending, please see Ms. LaPierre in room 221 to sign up and get a pass.
Attention sophomores interested in learning more about the programs offered at CV-TEC. The annual career day at CV-TEC is scheduled for Tuesday, February 15th. Please visit the guidance office for more information.
The Model UN Club is pleased to announce that the North Country Model UN Conference is back and will be taking place in March. For anyone interested in participating this year, please attend a brief meeting on Thursday the 10th (after school at 2:50 in room 310) for initial sign-ups and conference information.
There will be a GAPP meeting Wednesday after school to discuss our presentation to the board on Thursday- please make every effort to attend!
Attention all Key Club and Peer Mentor members…there will be a mandatory meeting Thursday at 2:45 in room 226
It’s time to sign up for auditions for Mary Poppins. If you are interested in being a part of the Mary Poppins cast, we need you to sign up by this Friday at 3:00 pm. Sign-up sheets are at the auditorium entrance, the Drama Club bulletin board located in the main hallway, and in the cafeteria. We are looking to cast 6 male lead/featured roles, 6 female lead/features roles and 15-20 ensemble members. See Mrs. Maggy or Mr. Verity for more details.
Wicked dance rehearsals are this Friday at 6:00-8:30 and Sunday at 1:00-4:00 in the Auditorium.
There are two new learning opportunities for students that will start in April. The first learning opportunity will teach participants beekeeping. You will suit up in a beekeeper’s outfit and learn how to tend a hive with live honeybees!
The second learning opportunity will teach participants how to plan, design, and grow a garden. Participants will not only be taught how to grow a great garden filled with a variety of edible and non-edible plants, but they will also be able to share in the harvest of what is grown.
If any of this sounds interesting to you then stop by the Guidance Office and pick up a flyer that explains more about each offering and tells you how to sign up.
Attention juniors-if you are interested in applying for the New Vision Medical Program for the 2022-2023 school year then please make sure to access the application packet posted on your class team! The deadline is March 4th. This is an honors program that gives a hands on opportunity for seniors to be exposed to various health care related careers If you have questions about the application process then please see your school counselor in the guidance office.
We are getting closer to our movie day! The Junior Class Prom fundraiser is on Saturday, February 12th from 10 am to 12 noon at Cumberland 12. The tickets are $10 and you will receive a free small popcorn. Starting Monday you can pre-pay in Mrs. McCoy’s room, room 100 afterschool. Your name will be put on a list so when you arrive at Cumberland 12 you will be handed your ticket for a free popcorn and you won’t have to wait in the line to pay. See you there!
The Clinton County Youth Court will be holding a two-day new member training on Tuesday, February 22 and Wednesday, February 23rd. For more information please visit the Guidance Office for an application or watch for flyers and scan the QR code to fill out an application on line!
PHS Multicultural Club Members are selling packages of chocolate chip cookies for $2.00 each or buy 2 packages for $3.00. Each package has 4 cookies in each. You can go to Room #215 to purchase many more!!
February Essential Skill is TEAMWORK- Teamwork is collaborating with others to achieve a common goal. We can accomplish bigger things when we work together.
Each month CFES will sponsor a raffle based on the Essential skills. Entry forms can be found outside of the guidance office and Ms. LaPierre’s room. (room 221), and in study hall. The drawing will take place on the last school day of the month.
