Spring Sports Clearances will take place after February Break. If you are interested in participating in Baseball, Softball, Track, Tennis, Golf or Lacrosse stop by the Health Office to pick up a Health History and clearance schedule.
Key Club will be selling bags of Hershey kisses for $1 during lunch periods today
The United Voices are sponsoring a spirit week to honor & acknowledge a few causes to promote awareness:
2/14 wear pink (to support cancer awareness) and/or red (to support heart health).
2/15 Pride Day (dress accordingly!)
2/16 wear blue (to support child abuse prevention) and/or yellow (to support Amnesty International ie: civil rights)
2/17 wear orange for UNITY
2/18 wear black for Black History Month
Exciting News! The Adventure Club will be going on a snowshoeing trip right after school TODAY, Valentine’s Day!. We will be snowshoeing the Blue Trails located behind Plattsburgh State. It will be cold! Make sure you are dressed very warm. Please come see Mrs. McClelland or Ms. LaCroix for more details.
In other yearbook news, all senior “Ads for Grads” are due to Mrs. Sullivan by Wednesday, February 16th. See Mrs. Sullivan in room 207 if you have any questions.
Attention sophomores interested in learning more about the programs offered at CV-TEC. The annual career day at CV-TEC is scheduled for tomorrow, February 15th. Please visit the guidance office for more information.
There are two new learning opportunities for students that will start in April. The first learning opportunity will teach participants beekeeping. You will suit up in a beekeeper’s outfit and learn how to tend a hive with live honeybees!
The second learning opportunity will teach participants how to plan, design, and grow a garden. Participants will not only be taught how to grow a great garden filled with a variety of edible and non-edible plants, but they will also be able to share in the harvest of what is grown. If any of this sounds interesting to you then stop by the Guidance Office and pick up a flyer that explains more about each offering and tells you how to sign up.
There will be two Junior Prom theme meetings to brainstorm ideas and decide on three choices that will be voted on by the class. The meetings will be in Mr. Bowlen/Mr. Peryea’s room 320 at 2:50 on Wednesday February 16th and Tuesday March 1st. See you there!!
The Clinton County Youth Court will be holding a two-day new member training on Tuesday, February 22 and Wednesday, February 23rd. For more information, please visit the Guidance Office for an application or watch for flyers and scan the QR code to fill out an application on line!
February Essential Skill is TEAMWORK- Teamwork is collaborating with others to achieve a common goal. We can accomplish bigger things when we work together.
Each month CFES will sponsor a raffle based on the Essential skills. Entry forms can be found outside of the guidance office and Ms. LaPierre’s room. (room 221), and in study hall. The drawing will take place on the last school day of the month.
