Lunch menu for today: Breakfast for lunch today including breakfast sandwiches, dirty potatoes, parfait, fresh fruit & veggie bar and milk.
It is Computer Science Education Week, and the new PHS Coding Club is sponsoring the return of the annual Hour of Code Event!!! Have you ever wondered what all the talk of coding is about? Ever want to just try a little and see if it is actually as fun as they say it is? Come to Room 209 right after school on Friday, December 9. Bring your computer or use ours. Jump into game-based coding. Make your own Flappy Bird Game app for your phone, or program a Dance Party! Refreshments will be served!
The CFES club will be meeting on Tuesday at 2:45 in Ms. LaPierre’s room (rm 221). We will be working on our placemat project for people at Meadowbrook and people who receive services from our community Meals on Wheels program. Anyone is welcome to join in the fun.
The Model UN meeting scheduled for today (Monday Dec 5th) will be postponed. Anyone interested in participating, please let your social studies teacher know and we will get you signed up on the MUN teams.
The swim team will have concussion base line test today in Mr. Farrell’s SMS classroom G19 immediately following the school day at 3:00. Bring a charged laptop.
“The GAPP club will be holding a fundraiser at Chipotle on Wednesday, December 7th from 4 to 8 PM. Mention GAPP when you are checking out and proceeds from your purchase will go to support the club’s trip to Germany next March.
The Junior Class is invited to attend a Prom Theme idea meeting today and tomorrow in room 100, 10th period. Come with ideas and pictures for your idea. A vote will be taken in December to finalize the theme.
Reminder, if you are interested to travel to Italy and Greece this spring. The deadline to enroll is Sunday December 18,2022. If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Yadollahpour in room 215.
The Key Club is sponsoring a Winter Clothing Drive November 28 – December 9
Share the holiday cheer and donate new or gently used hats, scarves, gloves, and socks. Drop off items in box next to the Christmas tree in the cafeteria.
The Green Team is looking to collect clothing donations for our free thrift store. If you have clothes to donate, drop them at one of our bins or in Room 316 all this week.”
Multicultural Club members are selling Christmas wreath this year to raise money to go to Italy and Greece. In the Main Office you will find the Wreath order forms, Price list, and Colors of the ribbons. You may place your order with multicultural club members until end of school today, or you may email it to Madam Yadollahpour or leave your order in her mailbox. The wreaths will be delivered to PHS on Monday 12/12/22
The PHS character trait for December is Acceptance.
Acceptance is important because it is the gateway to feeling a sense of belonging. To be accepting of others, you must create a space for everyone around you to be the best version of themselves possible. This will instill a culture of belonging and strengthen our communities.
