Gapp is having a fundraiser, they will be selling baked goods at dismissal and after science Olympiad December 21st.

“Reminder there will be a make-up dress rehearsal for all Orchestra students 6th period in the auditorium. Please check in with your 6th period teacher before coming down.”

Attention Peer Mentors…the Christmas activity at Stafford will take place Tuesday from 3-4. Please attend if you can.

There will be a Model UN Meeting on Tuesday, December 20th after school.

“Dungeons and Dragons 101 will meet this Tuesday in Room 316 at 3:20. Be sure to bring back your character sheets from last week.”

“The Green Team is opening the Holiday Store every day this week 9th period and after school. Stop on by Room 316 if you’re looking for some free holiday gifts to bring home to your family and friends. We are still taking donations for the Holiday Store this week.”

SMS Student Council is hosting their 2nd annual free gift-wrapping drive on Dec. 19 from 4-5:30pm in the Stafford Middle School Cafeteria. Bring up to 10 Holiday items to be wrapped for free. Refreshments and holiday music will be offered in the cafeteria while you wait for your gifts to be wrapped.

Reminder, if you are interested to travel to Italy and Greece this spring. The deadline to enroll is Sunday December 18,2022. If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Yadollahpour in room 215.

The PHS character trait for December is Acceptance.

Acceptance is important because it is the gateway to feeling a sense of belonging. To be accepting of others, you must create a space for everyone around you to be the best version of themselves possible. This will instill a culture of belonging and strengthen our communities.

The weather forecast for Friday and Saturday features atypical, concerning cold weather.  As you know, our district features a mix of modes of student commute to school, and a robust slate of co-curricular activities which are scheduled throughout the coming days.

Given the dangerous temperatures which are predicted, school on Friday, February 3rd, 2023 is cancelled, and an emergency closure day will be used.

Typically, when such emergency closures are made, co-curricular activities are similarly-cancelled.  For the most part, this will still be the case, but certain pre-arranged co-curricular activities will be allowed to proceed, so long as additional layers of safety/student protection are applied.  These considerations have been addressed with the Advisors.  So, unless students and parents receive a different communication from the Coach/Advisor, co-curricular activities are also cancelled tomorrow evening (February 3rd), and on Saturday, February 4th.
