Notice of Upcoming Vaccine Point of Delivery (POD) Clinic – Saturday, December 11, 2021 – download a printable pdf of this notice
9a.m.-noon — Plattsburgh Housing Authority’s Ted K Center
1 p.m.-7p.m. — Stafford Middle School Cafeteria
The vaccine clinic hosted on November 20, 2021 by the Plattsburgh Housing Authority and the Plattsburgh City School District, in conjunction with the New York State Health Department, was incredibly-well received. That day, 400+ community members received a first dose, second dose, pediatric dose, or booster.
Given the popularity of this event, the parties have planned a follow-up clinic. The sites will remain unchanged (Ted K Center and Stafford Middle School), and the times have been adjusted only slightly.
Given the tremendous response to the first such clinic, the NYSDOH will send an even larger number of doses and additional staff so as to efficiently process vaccinations. As before, no pre-registration is required, and pediatric (5-11) doses will be administered in a separate space from adult ( 12+) doses. Further, this clinic is open to all individuals eligible for the vaccine, regardless of district of attendance, place of residence, age, etc.
Vaccination remains the foremost strategy in protecting both individual and community health. From an educational perspective, full-vaccination provides students and faculty/staff with an exemption from quarantine because of exposure, and is therefore a critical tool in sustaining our district’s record of open, in-person instruction.
If you desire a COVID vaccine, you are welcome at this clinic. Please bring your current vaccination card (if applicable) for updating. I look forward to seeing you there.
