GRADE LEVEL and/or SUBJECT: K-6
GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS:

• Plan, prepare & deliver lessons and instructional materials that facilitate active, engaged learning
• Follow all district instructional, assessment and accountability requirements
• Use relevant technology to support and differentiate instruction
• Manage and reinforce classroom behavior
• Assess and monitor student progress towards goals, objective and exit outcomes
• Encourage parent communication and involvement
• Use developmentally appropriate practices and strategies in literacy
• Familiarity with Differentiated Instruction
• Experience with NY Common Core & Next Generation Learning Standards
• Understanding of skills needed to build effective instructional teams and work collaboratively
• Response to Intervention
• Data-driven instruction
• Understanding of PBIS

SALARY: Plattsburgh Teachers’ Association Contract
