Plattsburgh City School District Pre-K Program 2022-23
Plattsburgh City School District will offer free full day Pre-K programs to district residents for the 2022-2023 school year. At this time, the following options are available through the lottery process:
- Full Day Program (8:20-2:20) at Momot Elementary (18 students)
- Full Day Program (8:20-2:20) at Glasgow Elementary (18 students)
Eligible students must be four (4) years old on or before December 1st of the year in which they are enrolled in pre-K.
The district anticipates interest in UPK programming will exceed capacity. If this is the case, a lottery process will be used to determine assignment. Parents/Guardians can complete the registration process at 49 Broad Street, The Duken Administration building.
Registrations may be completed starting on Thursday, January 27, 2022, but must be submitted before 3:00 on Monday, May 9, 2022 to be eligible for the lottery. When registering, families may indicate a desire to attend more than one program (e.g. full day at Momot or full day at Glasgow).

The lottery will take place on Tuesday May 10th. Once students are randomly selected, families will receive a confirmation letter along with detailed information for their Pre-K placement. Parents of selected students will need to confirm registration and acceptance into program by returning the acceptance form to the District Office Building at 49 Broad Street before noon on Friday, June 3rd.
If your child receives an acceptance letter, the acceptance form must be returned by the deadline, confirming your child is officially registered for Pre-K. If you do not provide a signed acceptance notice to the District Office building at 49 Broad Street by the deadline, your child’s spot will be given to another child from the waiting list.
After the acceptance date, any remaining slots will be filled in the order they were drawn in the lottery.
If your child receives a waiting-list letter, notification will occur if a slot becomes available.
