A Call for School Board Candidates
Monday, May 11, 2020 at 5 p.m. is the deadline for candidates for the Plattsburgh City School District Board of Education to submit nominating petitions to the District Clerk. The election will be held June 9, 2020 to elect three (3) members of the Board of Education to a three (3) year term each, commencing on July 1, 2020 and expiring on June 30, 2023 to succeed Mr. Robert Hall, Jr., Mr. Stephen Krieg and Mr. Roderick Sherman whose terms expire.
Citizens with a sincere commitment to the education of all children are urged to consider school board service. Making the policy decisions that shape the future education of our children is an important responsibility.
Candidates for the Board of Education must be at least 18 years old, qualified voters in the Plattsburgh City School District and able to read and write. They must have been residents of the Plattsburgh City School District continuously for one year before the election. They must completed a petition and submit a hard copy to the District Clerk by 5:00 p.m. on May 11, 2020. They can be mailed to the District Clerk, 49 Broad Street, Plattsburgh, NY 12901 or dropped off at the Duken Building’s mailbox, by the entrance doors.

Petitions and other information can be accessed via the PCSD’s website at http://www.plattscsd.org.
