Daily Announcements:
Today is Thursday, October 3rd 2019 and it is a cycle B day

As a reminder, any students who would like to bring a guest from out of the district to the Homecoming Dance: the form to fill out is located in the Main Office, you must have this done no later than Monday October 7th
Attention Juniors and Seniors:
The following admissions representatives will be available to meet with students in the Guidance Office.

SUNY Plattsburgh – October 4th at 10:00

Hey PHS! IT IS ALMOST SPIRIT WEEK! HERE ARE THE DAYS YOU CAN LOOK FORWARD TOO!
Monday: Rainbow Day—Get your rainbow gear and glitter out!
Tuesday: Tacky Tourist Tuesday–The name speaks for itself.
Wednesday: Character Day–Dress as your favorite character!
Thursday: Spirit Day–Black and Orange!
Ms. LaPierre’s 8th period Study hall will meet in room 221 tomorrow only. Her study hall will meet in room 226, as usual, on Friday.
Club Announcements:
Any student who wants to help paint the windows for Homecoming needs to be in touch with their class advisers for where the materials are located. It is important to clean up and return all materials that are used. The following periods and supervising advisers are available during the day: Mrs. Charlebois 2nd period, Mrs. McCoy 3rd period, and Ms. Fresn and Mr. Bowlen 4th period. For painting after school please see your class adviser. The window painting ends Thursday, October 10th at 9am. Window painting will need to be completed by October 10th by 9:00 am, any junior interested in painting the window please go to room 100 after school today
There will be a Green Team meeting today at 3pm in Mrs. Sholtis’s room
There will be a Quidditch club meeting today (Thursday) from 3-4 in Room 316. Students should bring sneakers to the meeting
Anyone interested in joining the Peer Mentor program please see Ms. Bieber ASAP we will be attending training on Wednesday, October 9th from 10-1
Attention students: Just a reminder that the Equalosity club is scheduled to meet this Monday, October 7th in room 227 A. All are welcome.
Reminder to all multicultural & French club members to attend the welcome reception for the German students and their teachers today after school from 2:40 to 3:30. There will be a presentation by the German student’s about their school in Germany. New members are welcome.
Sports Announcements:
Please note, the Boys JV Soccer team will need to be released early today for travel to an away game. The bus will pick up at SMS at 2 p.m. and PHS at 2:15
At 4:30 PM, the girls JV Soccer team will have a game vs Northeastern Clinton Central School at Plattsburgh High School HS Turf Field
At 4:30 PM, the boys JV Soccer team will have a game vs Lake Placid at Lake Placid Horseshow Grounds
At 5:30 PM, the Volleyball JV team will have a game vs Northeastern Clinton Central School at Plattsburgh High School HS Gym
At 6:30 PM, the girls Varsity Soccer team will have a game vs Northeastern Clinton Central School at Plattsburgh High School HS Turf Field
At 7:00 PM the Volleyball Varsity team will have a game vs Northeastern Clinton Central School at Plattsburgh High School HS Gym
There will be a PHS Boys Hockey Open Skate at the PSUC Field house this Sunday, October 6th from 1-2PM. This is an open skate and all are welcome to join. If interested, please bring full equipment.”
It’s time for the Volley for a Cure! This year is the 4th annual event and we are looking to raise $15,000 this year for the Fitzpatrick Cancer Center! The big game will be at 6 p.m. Oct. 28 vs. Beekmantown! Whoever wears the most pink to the game, will win a $50 gift card, so start planning for your pink outfit today!! T-shirts are on sale now, and can be purchased from any member on the volleyball team. Coach McMahon and her volleyball team are looking to top last year’s fundraising of $10,000. Let’s help them reach that goal!
