China:  A Journey Through Literature and History

Grade Level:  Gr. 9 "At-risk" students

Overview:  The unit will include both disciplines (English and Global Studies) and be activity-driven.  It will establish a review of prior known material on China, introduce more in-depth analysis of Chinese concepts and current trends.  It includes a literature component which will accentuate this topic, as well as, develop writing skills.
