Grade Level:  Grade Six

 

Overview:   A multi task social studies unit designed to  integrate social studies with the ELA standards.  Students will be engaged in writing activities that assist them with the reading and interpretation of documents.  The unit is divided into four segments, one designated for fall, early winter, late winter and spring, with specifics activities designed to answer the questions:  Who are we?  What determines who we are? and Does culture determine behavior or does behavior determine culture?
