Summer Pilot Project - Learning Units

Each August since 1996, members of the Plattsburgh City School District instructional staff have participated in a week-long workshop to design standards-driven learning units in a variety of areas. After the initial development work, all units are presented to a panel of peers for a juried review.

The panels made recommendations for revisions, additions, etc. before each project's final submission to the Director of Instruction. Twenty-four units were created in 2000, fifteen in 2001, seventeen in 2002, fifteen in 2003, eight in 2004, ten in 2005, thirteen in 2006 and thirteen in 2007. Some units may be more detailed than others. The authors may be contacted for more information if necessary.

All units are available to PCSD teachers upon request to the Director of Instruction. Teachers may also review the units at the District Office at 49 Broad Street. If you wish to use one or more of these units in class, copies may be made.
