21st Century After School Program Enrollment Information
Take A Bite Out of Books:
free program at the Plattsburgh Public Library for 5th to 7th graders.
Children will read 6 books, which we provide & they get to keep. They compete for prizes in "The Battle of the Books" Sat., July 17 at Champlain Centre Mall. 5 SPOTS ARE STILL AVAILABLE!!! There are no fees for this program. Contact Sharon Bandhold at 536-7437 or click here to e-mail her.

Stafford Middle School is comprised of grades 6, 7, and 8. The 420 students at Stafford are divided into interdisciplinary teams at both the sixth and seventh grades.

The eighth grade is not teamed. This helps to transition our eighth grade students into the high school.

Through our teams, with cooperative learning groups, our sixth grade students transition nicely into the middle school environment.

With the encouragement of community involvement, plus district standards that promote "pilot interdisciplinary projects," the Stafford Middle School is well on its way to supporting the new state and national standards.
