Swim lessons- We will offer participants the opportunity to participate in swim lessons.  Interested students will be pre-tested to determine their swim level and will be placed in an appropriate group.  The lessons will be taught weekly by certified swim instructors. 

Rec Swim has begun.  If you are unsure of when your child will have the opportunity to participate, please check the schedule posted on the bulletin board.

Eat Smart NY will conduct a cooking club titled “Kids in the Kitchen” at Momot. Our 3rd graders will have the opportunity to sign up for this club which will begin 10/20.

Child Care Coordinating Council- Parents and their children are invited to PACT
Parent and Child Together) Evenings offered the 2nd Wed. each month beginning 10/8.
We will serve dinner and then the families will engage in planned activities.

Tech Club has started for our 5th grade.  The students will create DVD’s using iMovie, video and still cameras and will learn to create PowerPoint presentations.

Pottery Our SMS students will participate in “Clay Studio”.  They will study other cultures through traditional projects like 'Storyteller Dolls' from the Pueblos of the Southwest, to 'Mexican Clay Whistles', and African masks.  The students will also create a treasure box that reflects the natural landscape of 'North Country.'

BHSN/Adventure Based Counseling program will be working with our 5th graders.  This youth development program consists of 9 team building sessions and 2 full days (Sat.)  The program goal is to help youth is designed achieve significant growth in acquiring the attitudes, behaviors and values that will facilitate their successful individual and social development.  Please plan to pick up your child after 5:00 on Tuesday’s so they can enjoy this valuable program.

Community Education - Good news!  PCSD Community Education Yoga classes Yoga has been scheduled.  Go to the district website for dates, times and locations. For registration forms and scholarship information, contact Diana Lavery. 

Parents we are very interested in hearing from you.  Should you have questions or concerns, please contact the Site Director, Andy McGill or Project Coordinator, Diana Lavery. We are available each afternoon from 3:00-6:00 at the Momot Learning Center.  If you are unable to contact us on-site, please call 563-1170.

Please note Momot Elementary has early dismissal on Oct. 23rd. On all early dismissal days, the 21st. Century Program is not open.  If you wish to arrange afternoon child care, you can do so by contacting the YMCA at 561-4290.
